Guess what, they are wrong. Acne is not caused by the unhealthy foods you are eating like potato chips, French fries, soda, and even chocolate. You can continue to eat as much chocolate and fatty foods as you want. Be careful about the waistline though.
Real acne actually is caused by dead skin cells building up within the pores of your skin. You might have an excess of skin oil known as sebum and even too much bacteria. All of these problems are not caused by the types of foods and drinks you are consuming. A pimple is actually infection under the skin caused by the three factors listed above. When you squeeze a pimple and get the infection out this is good. Some people believe you shouldn’t pop them but if you don’t, the infection spreads underneath your skin and makes your acne worse. Anyone who tells you differently is wrong.
The biggest myth is that when you eat greasy foods and drink soda your skin will produce large amounts of oils and cause acne. These things are terrible for your health but they are not the reason you are having breakouts. You might have a lot of stress because the US immigration chose you for the DV lottery and think this is the reason for your acne. Stress can cause your body to do a lot of funny things, and even cause a few pimples. However, it will not cause a problem with acne. Acne is known to be hereditary because it is a predisposition with oily skin types. You can thank mom or dad for the acne problem. For the stress, you might want to use some reed diffusers and relax.
There has been an abundance of studies over the decades about the foods you eat and acne. It is true you can have a healthy body when you have a healthy diet. However, there have never been any foods that have proven to cause an acne breakout, not even chocolate. If chocolate makes you happy and produces the hormones in your brain that make you feel good, then it is healthy for you. Just don’t eat too much because you will regret the added pounds.
If you actually notice that there is a food that you eat that causes you to break out in your face and cause acne then the smartest thing to do is avoid consuming it. You might have an allergy to the food. However, there is not a proven food that will cause acne. Acne stems from an oily skin type and not taking proper care of your skin. Instead of letting those pimples fill up with infection, you have got to clean them out. If you don’t take proper care of your skin then the acne will continue to return. Try exfoliating too to get rid of the dead skin cells lingering around in your pores causing the infection.
